The Harbours Forum
The Harbours Forum for the Ports of Truro & Penryn provides formal representation of the views of the estuarial users, and others affected, to the Harbours’ Board on matters related to the development, management and operation of the Ports of Truro and Penryn.  The chair of the Forum is currently Mr Rob Grose and he can be contacted on his mobile number: 07545 121957 or by email: gdavidrobert@aol.com.

Superfast Broadband
Superfast broadband has started to become available in the Penryn exchange area.  As from now businesses and households in the Green Lane area and Mabe Burnthouse can upgrade their current broadband service to superfast broadband from a range of internet service providers (see here for the full list).  Prices start from as little as £18.  

Customers can check if their line is ready to be upgraded by using the line checker on the Superfast Cornwall website, www.superfastcornwall.org .  If superfast broadband isn’t available yet they can sign up to receive regular updates by filling in the ‘Keep me in the loop’ form, and view the animation to see how it’s built. 
 
Penryn One Stop Shop

The Penryn One Stop Shop, which is located within the Penryn Town Council offices at Saracen House, Higher Market Street, Penryn, provides access to Cornwall Council services for members of the local community.

Here customers can get help with completing forms linked to Homechoice Applications, disabled badges and benefits.

Help with Housing Options and Homelessness.

Use of the public access computer

Provision of forms and applications e.g. Rover tickets, temporary event notices, disabled badges, births, marriages, deaths etc; copying and verification of documents and checking application forms for customers

General enquiries e.g. waste and recycling, benefits, complaints, comments, council tax, payments, change of circumstances, noise and nuisance, pest control, public transport, homeless advice etc

Accepting payments e.g. rents, council tax, blue badges, licensing, landlord rents etc

Issuing recycling equipment.
